Astronomers have confirmed the first discovery of an alien planet in our Milky Way that came from another galaxy, they announced today (Nov. 18).

Since the mid-1990s Astronomers have been adding to the
List of Known ExoPlanets : 494 (as of 12 Oct. 2010)
**of which 70 were discovered this year alone**

These 494 planets exist outside our Solar System but were all formed in our home galaxy, the Milky Way :-)
