THE WORLD's GREATEST HUMAN RACE
23rd April 2006: WELL DONE EVERYONE !
~Mile 13 I was overtaken by a professional athlet.
He was also a blind man.
I tried to help an old lady who I thought was gasping for breath.
"Don't you worry about me dear, it's my 10th marathon.
I'm just saving my breath for the last miles."
She was 81 years old.
A continuous human cord cheering from both sides of the course
= 2 x 26.2 Miles/42 Km
= 52.4 Miles/84 Km of people's permanent support.
London at its best.
Awaiting friends past the final line.
Meeting point: near a tree.
